Promised Land State Park Camping

To all our outdoorsy friends, this particular section of the blog is devotedly for you! The Promise Land Park is heaven for camping. We will talk about the many areas where you can camp here along with what kind of amenities you are promised in the campsites they have. 

There are a couple of different campgrounds in the park – these include campgrounds that have zero amenities and allow you to experience survival (literally!) to ones that have you covered with all the necessary amenities.

1.    Whittaker Rustic Cabin

This particular cabin sleeps a total of 8 members – which means if you’re are travelling with your friends and family, there is enough room to accommodate all of them. Some of the amenities that this campground has to offer are:

• Refrigerator
• Stove
• Flush toilets
• Fireplace inserts
• Electricity
• Outdoor Fire Ring
• Adjacent private bathrooms

Amenities that aren’t included are:

• Linens
• TV
•  WiFi
• Hot-tubs 
• Swimming Pools

There are plenty of wonderful opportunities for fishing that is offered by this state park. We will get into detail about the different kind of fishing that you can do here and the kind of fish that you can catch around here. 
There are two wonderful locations for you to try your hand in fishing, these are the Promised Land Lake, that is spread across 422-acre, and then there is Lower Lake, which is spread across 173-acre.

• Sandy shores: There are two sandy beaches that you can explore, which are open from Memorial Day to mid-September.
• Designated swimming areas: Take a refreshing dip at designated areas which are the Day Use Picnic Area and the Pickerel Point Beach.
• Safety First: Since there aren’t any lifeguards on duty, we strongly recommend you to carry a jacket and be cautious throughout your time there.
